OFFICE series is a family of desk accessories developed through a shared design process. Grown from an open call, the project brings together 10 designers who contribute, reinterpret, and build on one another’s work in a continuous chain of collaborative making. The resulting ob- jects are presented under a single collective name rather than individual authorship. On display @dropcity_org during Milan Design Week. Terms and conditions: Collective Presale 1. The Production Philosophy: “Produced-to-Demand” We operate as a collective to challenge the traditional retail cycle. To eliminate industrial overstock and minimize material waste, we do not hold inventory. Every piece of aluminum is laser-cut and finished specifically for the members of this collective run. By participating, you are supporting an intentional and sustainable manufacturing process. 2. Reservation Process (No Upfront Payment) Participating in this presale is a commitment to the collective batch. Unlike traditional retail, we do not collect payment at the moment of reservation. Zero Initial Charge: No payment is taken when you submit your order. We are currently collecting reservations to determine final production volumes. Order Deadline: The window for reservations closes on May 20th. Confirmation Email: On May 21st, you will receive a formal confirmation email containing your finalized invoice. 3. Binding Commitment Because we book industrial machine time and purchase raw aluminum sheets based on the exact number of reservations received: The “Lock-In”: After the May 20th deadline, your reservation is considered a binding commitment. Production Integrity: We rely on every member of the collective to complete their purchase to ensure the viability and pricing of the production run for the entire group. 4. Pricing & Shipping (Finalized May 21st) To keep our model lean and transparent, all costs are finalized only once the order window closes. Product Price: The unit price is determined by the total collective volume. We reserve the right to adjust the final price based on the total number of reservations received by May 20th. Shipping & Handling: All prices listed during the reservation phase are exclusive of shipping. Because finished aluminum sheet metal requires specialized crating to prevent damage, shipping costs are calculated based on your specific location and current carrier rates. The Total Invoice: Your confirmation email on May 21st will include the final product price + calculated shipping and handling costs. 5. Payment Window (5-Day Rule) Upon receipt of your confirmation email on May 21st, you will have a 5-day window to complete your payment. Deadline: All payments must be settled by May 26th. Non-Payment: Failure to settle the invoice by the deadline may result in the cancellation of your reservation. This is necessary to ensure that raw material procurement and production schedules remain on track for the rest of the collective. 6. Manufacturing & Quality Finished Goods: All items are precision laser-cut and shipped as finished products. Technical Tolerances: Minor surface characteristics inherent to industrial aluminum handling and laser-cutting processes are standard and are not considered manufacturing defects. 7. Final Sale Policy Because these items are manufactured specifically for your reservation, all sales are final. We do not produce extra stock for exchanges or “change of mind” returns. In the event of a genuine manufacturing defect, please notify us with photographic evidence within 48 hours of delivery.
